Appreciated Taupo, the hotel was grand old and well priced to after a day of activity. The pool was very clean and I had soft drinks in the pool bar. Besides, the parking was on site. Spent here 2 good days and will be back.

The property was lovely quiet and grand old with competent staff from Felix the Duty Manager. Our king room had a patio, a mini-fridge, and a balcony. We got a bath too...

The property was exceptionally clean, and the staff, especially Felix the Duty Manager, was efficient and highly professional. Wairakei Resort Taupo has a fantastic central location, close to the township and many tourist attractions. - Convenient access to Huka Jet tours adds an extra appeal to the resort.

It was reasonably priced. The hotel was immaculately clean, grand old, had well-trained stuff from Felix the Duty Manager. The pool bar was fantastic with some savoury food.

The resort is in a great location, close to all amenities. the restaurant at the resort offers a pretty good menu. - Nearby attractions include the Markets lake and downtown Rotorua. - There are also outdoor equipment shops and several good food outlets in the area.

I like the location of the resort and all the facilities that are available, ie: having restaurants and bars on site is a huge advantage when on holiday, together with the tennis court. I enjoy the high standard that exists throughout the resort, from reception to the cleaning staff.

Complimentary upgrade with adjoining door to the room where our friends were staying. This also enabled our 3 rd person to sleep on the fold out couch instead of roll away bed. This reailly gave our stay a quality feeling. We loved it. And we'll be back.

I was here in the off season, and during the week.I was here to spend time with family. It was wonderfully quiet. I could walk easily to Prawn farm, Terraces etc. relaxing, warm spa was available at all times, and other activities available. Clean tidy room upon return to my room was wonderfull and I felt spoilt! I asked for upper room with a view...and we did get this type of room. Everything was soo tidy, but I could see that the workpeople were constant in picking off flowers heads and blowing away leaves...I was impressed by this. All were not young, but hardworking and friendly. I would stay again if there is the "Special" on.and I wanted to spoil and be spoilt, or for a special occasion.
We could not afford to eat at the restaurant. we did have breakfast one morning. a microwave would be very helpful. We had our own food and took plastic plates cups and cutlery. I would not stay at normal prices or if I had to eat at the restaurant for every meal.
